Sunday’s Serie A round-up

Roma suffered a second defeat in the space of a week after they went down 3-1 to Torino at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino on Sunday.

The Giallorossi, who lost their first game of the season against Fiorentina (1-0) last weekend, found themselves trailing early on when Andrea Belotti gave Il Toro an eighth-minute lead.

Iago Falque doubled their advantage seven minutes into the second-half, before Francesco Totti (55') pulled one back for the visitors from the penalty spot moments later.

But the hosts won a spot-kick themselves on 65 minutes, which was converted by Falque as Torino halted a two-match winless run.

Elsewhere, Lazio returned to winning ways after they beat Empoli 2-0 at the Stadio Olimpico to move up to fifth place in the standings.

The hosts took the lead through Keita Balde Diao (29') in the first half and Senad Lulic (90') sealed the win at the death as Simone Inzaghi's side bounced back from their 2-o loss to AC Milan in midweek.

Gregoire Defrel scored the only goal of the game as Sassuolo edged out Udinese 1-0 at the Mapei Stadium, while Internazionale had to come from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against Bologna at the San Siro.

The Rossoblu got off to a good start when Mattia Destro fired them in front on 14 minutes, but Ivan Perisic (37') responded for Inter before the break to claim a share of the spoils.

Meanwhile, Pescara saw their winless streak in Serie A continue as they played out to a 1-1 draw with nine-man Genoa at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

After a goalless first half, Giovanni Simeone (47') opened the scoring for Ivan Juric's men shortly after the restart, but they were made to hang on when Edenilson (74') and Goran Pandev (79') were both sent off.

Rey Manaj then provided a tense finish to the match when he equalised with five minutes left on the clock to snatch a point for the Delfini, who haven't won in their last four outings now.

Sunday's Serie A results:

Torino 3-1 Roma

Genoa 1-1 Pescara

Internazionale 1-1 Bologna

Lazio 2-0 Empoli
