Midfielder Blaise Matuidi says that while he was disappointed that his proposed move to Juventus did not materialise, he remains committed to current club Paris Saint-Germain.
The 29-year-old former Saint-Etienne midfielder looked set to join the Serie A champions but PSG had other ideas as they blocked the switch.
But far from letting it get him down, the Frenchman says he is happy to help his club retain their own champion status.
He told Telefoot: "There was a concrete demand. Yes, I wanted to go at the time.
"The club decided otherwise and I had to accept it. There was a difficult period because I had a wish that has not been fulfilled."
Matuidi disputed claims he was unhappy and explained he is keen to work under new manager Unai Emery.
"I'm not unhappy at PSG, far from it," he added. "There is a new coach and I know he trusts me.
