Giovani Lo Celso is closing in on a move to Paris Saint-German after Rosario Central vice-president Ricardo Carloni revealed talks are at an advanced stage.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has been heavily linked with the Ligue 1 champions in recent months after an impressive debut season for his hometown club.
Reports this week suggested that Lo Celso will jet off to Paris over the weekend to finalise a five-year deal with PSG, and Carloni has confirmed the Argentine club are close to making a 'historic sale'.
"Negotiations are well advanced and only a few details and technicalities are missing," Carloni told Argentine sports channel TyC.
"We are talking about a sale that is historic for our club and for Argentine football. We must be cautious because as of yet it is not definitely closed but it is very advanced."
Carloni went on to add that the promising youngster will stay on with El Canalla until December even if Les Parisiens complete the transfer.
