Bayern München captain Phillip Lahm hopes to see manager Pep Guardiola remain at the Allainz Arena amidst rumours linking him with a move to England.
Despite his current deal expiring at the end of this season, Guardiola is yet to extend his contract in Bavaria, prompting relentless speculation of a potential move to the Premier League.
Lahm says everyone involved with the club are keen to see the Spaniard remain in charge beyond the end of the current campaign but admitted the decision ultimately rests with Guardiola.
"The team's opinion is clear. We enjoy working together with our coach and he is an outstanding manager," the World Cup winner is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
"Everything else is not in our hands. The only thing I can say is that the team would like Guardiola to stay."
