Schalke 04 manager Andre Breitenreiter is hoping for another pre-weekend win when his team take on struggling TSG Hoffenheim at Veltins-Arena on Friday.
The Royal Blues have won 11 of their last 12 Friday night games, drawing the other one, but Breitenreiter is wary of second-from-bottom Hoffenheim, who recently picked up just their second win of the season against Hannover.
"We naturally want to continue on this path," he said. "We want to go into the winter break on the back of a win.
"[Hoffenheim] have a lot of quality, but they haven't always shown it this season. TSG will come here with a renewed self-confidence and will be set up perfectly by Huub Stevens. We'll need to be patient."
Schalke currently sit eighth in the Bundesliga standings after suffering their sixth loss in 16 matches away to FC Augsburg, and will be looking for a good result in their final match before the winter break, which lasts until the end of January.
