Norwich vs Liverpool Player Ratings
Liverpool finally got their first Premier League victory of the season after a comprehensive 2-5 victory over Norwich at Carrow Road.
It was the Luis Suarez show as he got his second hat-trick against Norwich as Liverpool deservedly got all three points.
It didn't take long before Liverpool took the lead as Suarez opened the scoring in the first minute. He doubled the Red's lead in the 38th minute before finally completing his hat-trick of goals in the 57th minute while Steven Gerrard and Nuri Sahin got into the scoring act as well. Norwich had goals of their own, compliments of Steve Morison and Grant Holt.
Norwich
John Ruddy - 5
His only notable contribution of the day was that save from Gerrard from point blank range, but powerless to keep out any of the sublime goals from Suarez.
Russell Martin - 6.5
The skipper for the day had a busy afternoon blocking off the rampaging runs of Johnson and the pace of Sterling, but coped well unlike his fellow colleagues. It was his shot that eventually led to Norwich's first goal as well.
Michael Turner - 3
He fooled around when Suarez was lurking and paid the price by giving the striker a goal. Slow to react to the quick Liverpool passes and never really put a foot in to break down Liverpool's fluid passes.
Javier Garrido - 4
Hopelessly watched Suarez, Suso and the young Wisdom run around him like he wasn't there.
Leon Barnett - 2
Was a lucky man not to be sent off after his crazy challenge on Suarez. His positioning and tacking was terribly off the mark.
Bradley Johnson - 4
A substitution to change the shape of Norwich's unimpressive back line would have been nice but Chris Hughton failed to see that Johnson and gang had no solution to Liverpool's rampant attack.
Robert Snodgrass - 5
Missed a sitter after the restart and could not create much for his side as Liverpool kept possession well.
Jonathan Howson - 6
Probably Norwich's best performer in midfield. Despite their scarce possession, he made the most with what he had and was eventually rewarded with an assist for Holt's goal.
Andrew Surman (55' off) - 5
Norwich lost most of the 50-50 battles to Liverpool, who dominated the midfield areas and he could not pull the strings for his team at all.
Simeon Jackson (46' off) - 6
His late run to the far post forced a save from Reina a few minutes after Suarez gave them that early lead and had another soon after but he volleyed it way off target.
Steve Morison (79' off) - 6.5
Got his first goal of the campaign but it was a mere consolation for the Canaries.
Substitutions
Grant Holt (46' on) - 6.5
Showed his manager that it was a grave mistake leaving him on the bench. Came on after the break to give his side some physical presence in the box and got Norwich's second goal.
Wesley Hoolahan (55' on) - 5.5
The simple one-twos was all he could come up with. We have yet to see him work his magic like the previous season, or is he just a one season wonder?
Alexander Tettey (79' on)

Liverpool
Pepe Reina - 5.5
Managed to keep the ball out with the help of the posts after taking the lead but spilled the ball when it should have been a textbook save to squander his clean sheet bonus in the second half.
Glen Johnson (74' off) - 7
Couldn't get past the last man down the left for Liverpool, but neither could anyone in a yellow shirt beat him when Norwich tried to counter.
Daniel Agger - 6.5
Could have doubled Liverpool's lead a minute after Suarez scored but couldn't keep his header down but that didn't matter as there were four more goals to come. Solid at the back and limited Norwich's clear cut chances on goal.
Martin Skrtel - 6
Although the central defenders had a few shaky moments, there wasn't anything Norwich threw at him that he couldn't handle.
Andre Wisdom - 6.5
A confident, no nonsense display from the right-back who would have pleased his manager after his performance in this game.
Nuri Sahin (66' off) - 6.5
Forced his way into the starting XI after his midweek performances and was at the right place for a simple tap in after Suarez did all the work. Slowly but surely adapting to life in the Premier League.
Steven Gerrard - 7
Did everything right in the opposition half and age did not hinder his trademark late runs into the box.
Joe Allen - 7
Played in his usual deep role, which freed up his midfielders to wreck havoc upfront. Charmingly keeps possession for his side on a weekly basis.
Suso (59' off) - 6.5
The talented Spaniard seemed like he has been playing with Wisdom down the right all their lives with their telepathic understanding. A gem in the making.
Raheem Sterling - 7
A player with so much potential despite showing a lack of maturity at times. Played a lot better in the second half, causing all sorts of problems in the wide areas.
Luis Suarez - 10
Showed great strength to out-muscle defenders and showed his critics that despite being slammed for his diving antics, his finishing is still world class. Deserves a perfect 10 for his superb hat-trick.
Substitutions
Oussama Assaidi (59' on) - 6
Injected some pace into the Liverpool side and had a simple task of running at a tiring Norwich defence.
Jordan Henderson (66' on) - 5.5
Replaced the Real Madrid man after Liverpool were in the driving seat and had a very ordinary game.
Jamie Carragher (74' on)
