Pacemen Shapoor Zadran and Hamid Hassan have been recalled to Afghanistan's squad for the World T20, which starts in India next month.
Both fast bowlers have had an extended spell on the sidelines with Shapoor not playing for the national side since October last year.
Hassan, meanwhile, has not represented Afghanistan since the World T20 Qualifier in July last year but both were part of Afghanistan's squad for the World Cup in 2015.
The Asian nation, along with Ireland, have been the most impressive Associate side in world cricket as they beat Zimbabwe in limited-overs series away from home and in the UAE.
Afghanistan will play Hong Kong, Scotland and Zimbabwe in Group B of the first round of the World T20. If they top the group, they will join the Super 10s stage, where they will play against England, South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies.
