Caution Notice - Alert to the General Public re "ESPN Draw" & "ESPN STAR Cricket Awards" Emails

It has come to our attention that unauthorized and fraudulent messages referring to "ESPN DRAW" or "ESPN DRAW UPDATE" are being circulated on the Internet and by other means promising monetary awards from ESPN STAR Sports and soliciting responses on that basis.

Please be advised that these messages have not been sent from, or authorised by, ESPN STAR Sports or our related companies and that the ESPN STAR Sports names and related trademarks are being used without our permission. References to the existence of an "ESPN Draw", "ESPN STAR Cricket Email Draw" or "ESPN star cricket award" are false. These messages appear to be a form of fraud commonly known as "phishing", the objective of which is to try to obtain personal or financial information from you.

We therefore caution the general public against relying on or acting on such messages. Do not reply to these messages or enter into any correspondence with the sender. Any act or omission to the contrary shall be at your risk and discretion and we hereby expressly disclaim any responsibility or liability for any consequences.

The circulation of such unauthorized communications and use of the ESPN STAR Sports name and related trademarks amounts to a clear breach of law, including fraudulent misrepresentation and violation of intellectual property rights and may result in irreparable loss or damage to our brand value and reputation. We reserve our rights to commence and conduct any proceedings we may deem appropriate to protect our rights and prosecute those responsible.
